How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks from the intersection of Highways 14 and 52 in Ponce, proceed south/west on Highway 52, which turns into Highway 2 West towards Mayaguez, for 14.0 km (8.7 mi) to the intersection with Highway 127 west, then continue west on Highway 127 for 2.7 km (1.7 mi), then south on Highway 337 for 3.78 km (2.35 mi) and go through the first guard gate, bear to the right and continue until the road splits, then stay left and continue to the second guard gate to the EcoElectrica power plant in Penuellas, then continue 0.6 km (0.4 mi) to the right after coming through the gate and eventually weave around to the third guard gate and the base of the LNG pier. The bench marks are located on the pier. The tide gage was located near the SW end of the pier.
