How to reach: To reach from the Kodiak airport travel by vehicle 11.6 km (7.2 miles) NE to St. Paul's Harbor in the city of Kodiak, from St. Paul's Harbor travel by boat SW for 1.85 km (1.0 nm), then SSW for 3.89 km (2.1 nm), then SE for 23.15 km (12.5 nm) to Cape Chiniak, from Cape Chiniak, proceed SSW for 25.00 km (13.5 nm) then turn west heading for 30.56 km (16.5 nm) passing between Narrow Cape and Ugak Island, continue on a southwesterly heading for 27.78 km (15.0 nm) entering Sitkalidak Strait, from here, turn to the WNW (270o mag) for 6.11 km (3.30 nm) to Bush Point, navigate to the south of Sheep Island for 2.59 km (1.40 nm) reaching the north end of Sitkalidak Passage, proceed SW for 1.85 km (1.00 nm), turn to starboard and head WNW for 0.93 km (0.50 nm) to the entrance markers for the small boat harbor. The tide gauges are located on the fixed wooden pier at the south end of the village. The tidal bench marks are located around the village south of the harbor and on the beach south of the village.
