How to reach: To reach the tide station from the Olympic National Park Ozette Campground parking lot, walk the Cape Alava boardwalk trail 5.0 km (3.1 mi) west to the end of the trail at the ocean coast, turn right and proceed north along the beach 1.2 km (0.75 mi) to the sand and stone isthmus connecting the mainland to Tskawahyah (Cannonball) Island from mid to low tide, proceed 0.2 km (0.15 mi) west across the spit to the island and the tide station at the SW corner of the island. The bench marks are in bedrock outcrops around the perimeter of the island.
