How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks from the intersection of U.S. Highway 101 and Truesdale Avenue at the south end of Eureka, proceed west on Truesdale Avenue for 0.24 km (0.15 mi), then turn right and proceed north on the road that parallels the railroad tracks on the east for 61 m (200 ft) and turn left and head west into the Standard Oil distributors yard. The bench marks are along the railroad tracks and US Highway 101. The tide station was located on the west side of the Standard Oil loading pier.
