How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks proceed along State Highway 101 south from Santa Barbara or north from Ventura, exit at Mussel Shoals and then proceed west towards the ocean. The bench marks are located on Rincon Island and the mainland near the causeway. The tide station was located on the north side of the causeway where it meets the island.
