How to reach: Access to the Station requires a boat. To reach the station, launch boat at Jesse Fontenot Memorial (Berwick Bay) Boat Launch on River Road in Berwick, Louisiana, which is West of Morgan City, LA. Exit the Harbor and bear left to enter the Atchafalaya River from the west. Travel south bound on the Atchafalaya River for approximately 22 nautical miles. Station 8764314 resides on the west side of the navigational channel near United States Coast Guard Aid to Navigation green Channel Marker 33. The station is a three piling structure painted yellow. Access to the site is via a ladder the bottom of which is approximately 10 feet above the water. To reach the ladder an 8-foot ladder with hooks on the top must be hung onto the lower rungs of station ladder.
