How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks from the junction of US Highway 1 and State Road A1A South (Seaway Drive) in Fort Pierce, go east on State Road A1A South for 3.46 km (2.15 mi) to the entrance of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Station (Formerly the US Coast Guard Station) on the left, turn left on the entrance drive and go north about 91.44 m (300.0 ft) to the inlet, now by boat go north for about 30.48 m (100.0 ft) to a 12.19 m (4.0 ft) square wooden dock and the tide gage is attached to the north end. The tidal bench marks are in the vicinity of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Station.
