How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks from the intersection of U.S. Route 17 and Kingsley Avenue in Orange Park, proceed south on U.S. Route 17 for 7.2 km (4.5 mi) to its intersection with County Road 220, go west on County Road 220 for 5.6 km (3.5 mi) to Sleepy Hollow Road, drive south on Sleepy Hollow Road for 2.0 km (1.25 mi) to a trail road on the left that parallels the railroad tracks, then go south 0.3 km (0.2 mi) on this trail road until it reaches Black Creek. The bench marks are along the roads leading to the river from Florida State Route 220, and the tide gage and staff were 39.62 m (130.0 ft) east of the Seaboard Coastline Railroad Bridge which crosses over Black Creek.
