How to reach: From the intersection of US Highways 17 and 701 in Georgetown, proceed east on US Highway 17 for apporximately 7 km (4 mi) to the entrance to the Belle W. Baruch Institute for Marine Biology and Coastal Research, then turn right onto the entrance road and proceed for 0.08 km (0.05 mi) to an electric gate, then proceed past the gate for 0.5 km (0.3 mi) to a sand road on the left and a forked sand road up ahead, then turn left on the sand road and proceed for 3.62 km (2.25 mi) to a gravel parking lot for the lab on the left, then turn left through the parking lot for 0.08 mi (0.05 mi) to a T-junction with a sand road, then turn left onto the sand road and proceed for 0.2 km (0.1 mi) to the maintenance shed, then continue on the causeway leading to the research pier. The bench marks are along the road leading from the maintenace shed to the pier. The tide station is located at the end of the pier.
