How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks from Route 440 in Sewaren, exit Rout 440 on State Street (Route 611) and follow State Street north to Debra Place, then turn east on Debra Place for 0.2 km (0.1 mi) and proceed under a railroad overpass, then turn north before entering the maintenance area of Public Service Electric and Gas Company, then continue north for 0.2 km (0.1 mi) into the main entrance of PSE&G. Make contact with the site manager, Mr. Andres Gomez (732-750-2003) before the station is visited and check in with the receptionist upon arrival using the security phone at the entrance gate. The bench marks are located along the concrete and timber bulkhead along the river and near the maintenance building. The tide gage was located on the bulkhead east of the pump house.
