This near surface currents velocity animation was created from the latest DBOFS forecast guidance in the Delaware Bay. The forecast is for the next 48 hours of current velocities as simulated by DBOFS when it is forced by forecast products from the National Weather Service's North American Model (NAM) and Extra Tropical Storm Surge (ETSS), and the Global operational Real-Time Ocean Forecast System (RTOFS).
