Wind Nowcast
This wind animation was created from the latest LEOFS nowcast for the Lake Erie. The hourly fields were created by spatially interpolating the wind products from the latest run of the National Weather Service's 3-km, hourly updated High-Resolution Rapid Refresh (HRRR) atmospheric model. These interpolated wind fields were used by LEOFS to generate oceanographic nowcasts.
