Wind Forecast Guidance
This wind animation depicts forecasted hourly surface (10m above the water) winds. The hourly wind fields were created by spatially and temporally interpolating wind forecast guidance from the National Weather Service's National Digital Forecast Database (NDFD) on the 2.5-km CONUS grid. These hourly wind fields were used by LEOFS to generate oceanographic forecast guidance.
