All model nowcast and forecast information is based on a hydrodynamic model and should be considered as computer-generated nowcast and forecast guidance.
This wind time series was created from the surface forcing data of the latest CREOFS nowcast and forecast runs. The winds were created by spatially and temporally interpolating the wind products from the National Weather Service's (NWS) operational North American Mesoscale weather forecast model. These interpolated wind fields were used by to generate oceanographic nowcast and forecast guidance.
The CREOFS model provides forecast guidance for water levels, currents, water temperature, and salinity within its domain.
