All model nowcast and forecast information is based on a hydrodynamic model and should be considered as computer-generated nowcast and forecast guidance.
Wind Forecast Guidance
This wind animation depicts forecasted hourly surface (33 ft [10m] above the water) winds for the next 48
hours. The hourly wind fields were created by spatially and temporally interpolating wind forecast guidance
from the National Weather Service's operational North American Mesoscale (NAM) weather forecast model. These interpolated wind fields
were used by WCOFS to generate oceanographic forecast guidance.
