Observations


How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks from Astoria, take Highway 101/26 south toward Seaside across Youngs Bay, after crossing the bay, take a right at the first intersection onto East Harbor Drive, follow East Harbor Drive to Warrenton, continue to follow East Harbor Drive toward Hammond and follow signs to Fort Stevens, Hammond, in Hammond, turn right onto Iredale Street. The tidal bench marks are located in the vicinity of the Hammond Boat Basin. Port of Portland tide gauge is located on the Columbia River Bar Pilots station at the NW edge of the boat basin near the entrance to the jetty.
