Observations


How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks from the Highway 101 bridge over the Yaquina River in Newport, Oregon, proceed 1 km (0.6 mi) south to first exit on the right and follow the signs to OSU - Marine Science Center. Proceed 1.2 km (0.8 mi) on Marine Science Drive to the Marine Science Center's main gate. Turn left after entering main gate and continue to the Marine Science Center's dock. The bench marks are located in the vicinity of the tide house on the Property of Oregon State University Marine Science center. The tide house is located on the east end of the dock.
