Observations


How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks in Cape Canaveral at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Base and near the Trident Pier, from the intersection of Routes 528 west and 401 north in Canaveral proceed north on Route 401 for 4.0 km (2.5 mi) to Poseidon Road, turn right on Poseidon Road and continue to a stop sign, turn left and then another right at the yield, then turn left at the sign for Trident Pier; then left at the stop sign, and follow the road around to the south end of the pier. The bench marks are located on the east side of the road leading to the pier. The tide gage is located at the south end of the pier.
