Location:

To reach the tidal bench marks from the airport, travel east on the main road to Yakutat for 8.0 km (5.0 mi), passing the Loran Spur and Ophir Creek. Take the third gravel road downhill leading to the Ocean Cape Dock and Sitka Sound Seafoods Company processing plant and storage garage. The tide gauge is located in the second floor of the ice house at the SW end of the pier. The bench marks are located along the roads in the vicinity of the tide house.
