Location:
To reach the tidal bench marks from Seattle, take I-5 north and continue 24 km (15 mi) north of Bellingham to exit 266 Custer/Grandview Road and turn left at the top of the exit onto Grandview Road, then continue on Grandview Road for 11 km (7 mi), past the ARCO Cherry Point Refinery and turn left onto Jackson Road. Continue 2.4 km (1.5 mi) on Jackson Road to the Guard House and gate, pass through the gate for 0.5 km (0.3 mi) down the hill to the foot of the pier. The bench marks are located in the vicinity of the pier. The tide gage is located 0.5 km (0.3 mi) down the pier on the right.
