Location:

To reach the tidal bench marks from the center of the draw bridge over South Slough in Charleston, proceed west 273.0 m (895.6 ft) to the first road on the right (Boat Basin Drive), turn right (northwest) and proceed 372.0 m (1,220 ft) to Kingfisher Drive, turn right (northeast) and continue 488 m (1601 ft) along the perimeter of the boat basin to the USCG boat house. The tide station is located in the boat house. The bench marks are located on the U.S. Coast Guard compound and in the vicinity of the boat basin.
