Location:
To reach the tidal bench marks from San Diego, CA, go north on Interstate I-5 and exit onto La Jolla Parkway (which becomes Arduth Road), proceed about 3.2 km (2 mi) and turn right onto La Jolla Village Drive, go north about 1.6 km (1.0 mi) and turn left at Discovery Way (marked Scripps Pier & Aquarium), then take Discovery Way to the bottom of the hill (2 blocks) to the Scripps pier and station. The tidal bench marks are located in the vicinity of Scripps Pier. Tide gauges are in room in the SW corner in the building at the end of the Pier.
