Location:
To reach the tidal bench marks from I-10 heading east, take exit 29, Lakeshore Drive/Downtown, follow Lakeshore Drive which leads directly to the Civic Center, then turn west on Bord du Lac Drive and follow it around to the SE area of the Civic Center property. The bench marks are in the vicinity of the waterfront, Bord du Lac Drive, and North Lakeshore Drive. The tide gauge was located on a small dock near the SE corner of Lake Charles.
