Location:
To reach the tidal bench marks from the intersection of U.S. Alternate Highway 98 and State Highway 79 in Panama City Beach, proceed SE on U.S. Highway Alternate 98 for 1.4 km (0.9 mi) to the Dan Russell Pier on the Gulf of Mexico. The bench marks are located on the pier, across the highway in a wayside park, and along Highway Alt. 98. The tide gage is located at the NE corner of the center enlarged portion of the pier which houses the restrooms.
