Location:
To reach the tidal bench marks from the Post Office in Chesapeake, Virginia, proceed north on Battlefield Boulevard for 0.8 km (0.5 mi), then continue west on Interstate 64 toward Suffolk to Exit 291A for I-664 toward Norfolk, then take I-664 to Freeman Avenue (Exit 3), turn left at the light and continue south on Freeman Avenue for 1.1 km (0.7 mi) to Buell Street, then left on Buell Street for 0.5 km (0.3 mi) to the Elizabeth River Terminal on the right. The bench marks are on the terminal property and the tide gage is located on the end of pier No. 2.
