Location:
To reach the tidal bench marks from the intersection of US Highway 50 and State Highway 331 in Vienna, at the west end of the US 50 bridge over the Nanticoke River, proceed south on State Highway 331 for 0.9 km (0.6 mi) to Gay Street, then continue south on Gay Street to Linden Lane, then turn left on Linden Lane and go one block, then right onto Market Street (Market Street turns into Elliott Island Road at Henrys Crossroads) and proceed SW for 29.0 km (18.0 mi) to a fork in the road at the village of Elliot, bear left at the fork on Wnarf Rd and proceed 1.1 km (0.7 mi) to the end of road at the county dock. The bench marks are along the road and around the picnic area. The tide gage is located on the wooden bulkhead along the south end of the parking lot for the dock.
