Location:
To reach the tidal bench marks from the Post Office in Lewes, proceed SE on Front Street for 0.2 km (0.1 mi), then 0.8 km (0.5 mi) NE on Savannah Road to Henlopen Drive. Continue on Henlopen Drive for 1.3 km (0.8 mi) to the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal. The bench marks are within a 1.6 km (1 mi) radius of the ferry terminal and the tide house is located on the west side of Ferry Slip No. 2.
