Location:
To reach the tidal bench marks from the traffic circle in Montauk, proceed north on Edgemont Road (State Highway 49) for 1.9 km (1.2 mi) to the Rough Rider Condominium complex. The bench marks are on the condominium grounds and to the north, in the vicinity of Duryea's Seafood. The tide gage and staff are in the NE corner of the Rough Rider Condominium pier.
