Location:
To reach the tidal bench marks from the intersection of Highways 19 and 270, proceed NW on Highway 270 for 1.9 km (1.2 mi). Turn left at the second entrance of Port of Kawaihae. Follow the road through a yellow gate and proceed north. The tidal bench marks are located in the general vicinity. The tide house is located just north of the seaward-most overhead shiploading conveyors.
