Storm Analysis

No futher QuickLooks will be issued for this storm unless oceanographic conditions warrant and/or the National Hurricane Center issues new tropical storm or hurricane warnings for the U.S. or its territories.

As of 10/30/2012 12:00 EDT, water levels along the Atlantic coast from Maryland to Maine are returning to predicted tide levels, however many locations remain elevated.   Water levels in the upper Chesapeake Bay, upper Delaware Bay, and Delaware River are elevated by 1 to 4 feet above tidal predictions, likely due to runoff.

Winds are decreasing across the region.  Barometric pressure has bottomed out and is now rising.

Water levels in bays and associated waterways may include impacts from hydrological forces, including rainfall runoff.  For additional hydrological information see NWS Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Services or National Weather Service Forcast Office.

Future information on this system can be found in public advisories issued by the Hydrometeorological Prediction Center.
