Tropical Depression IKE QuickLook

No further QuickLooks will be posted for this storm unless conditions warrant and the
National Hurricane Center (NHC) issues a new Tropical Storm Warning for the U.S. coastline.
As of 09/14/2008 11:00 CDT, water levels are falling along the Gulf Coast from southern Texas to Mississippi and range between 1 to over 5 ft above predicted, with higher levels in riverine, bay and lake waterways. A NOAA partner, the Texas Coastal Ocean Observing Network (TCOON) stations are showing high water elevations in the Houston Ship Channel (Manchester, TX) , and Sabine Lake (Rainbow Bridge, TX). Water levels in Lake Pontchartrain, LA range between 2 to over 3 ft above predicted. Barometric pressure has returned to normal across the region and winds are decreasing from southern Texas to Louisiana.
