Stations Currents Forecast Guidance
This near surface current velocity animation was created with hourly plots from the latest GBOFS forecast guidance for the Houston Ship
Channel. The forecast guidance is for the next 30 hours of current velocities as simulated by the model when the Bay is forced by coastal
water levels and winds that are predicted by National Weather Service models. Currents through the deeper navigation channel are
stronger than those in the shallower areas.
